Team Update

We are all safe. Our friends and families are safe. Thank you to everyone who has pitched in to help and reached out with messages of support.

On Friday morning, Tropical Storm Helene caused Richland Creek to flood from Love Lane to the railroad tracks. Debris forced our front doors open and our shop filled with 3 feet of water. This amount of water, sludge, and damage to the structure creates an immediate impression that the building will not be habitable for the foreseeable future. The subsequent state of these buildings and the neglect of care by property owners over the last few decades leaves the Frog Level neighborhood in a sad state with a bleak future. This past weekend was spent finding local friends and working together to clean out the sludge-covered storefront and salvage what we could.

Some folks have asked how to support us during this time. Here are some options:

SHOP ONLINE đź’»

We have updated our online shop inventory, adding the products we still have available and can ship. Go ham.

SHOP PLANTS 🪴

Our remaining plant and pot inventory is available for purchase in person at @axeandawlleatherworks, just up the street. We just received a new shipment two weeks ago, so there are plenty of new plant babies waiting for a home! Most are bundled with a pot.

DONATE đź’¸

At our online shop, you’ll find an option to donate. For context, the physical store is a total loss for us. If we reopen, it will not be at 250 Depot Street. All the furniture and display pieces curated, the hand-built bar and back wall, and the “honeycomb” installation in the center of the store, are all gone. We invested a lot up front into creating a beautiful, welcoming space for our community, putting our faith in the future success of Frog Level and Cultivate. We can’t get our time and sweat back, but any donations will go toward helping us pay off startup expenses.

We have been encouraged by the incredible community around us in Waynesville. To everyone who pitched in, gifted meals sent messages, or even shared their friendly company, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Help us rebuild for a new day
